# Triggers · Fire a trigger now

POST https://kd-agents.simplified.com/api/v1/triggers/{trigger_id}/run

Fires a trigger once, now, without waiting for its schedule.

Returns as soon as the run is queued — it does not wait for the agent to
finish, so a pending result here is expected rather than a failure.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (required) (prefixed with ` Api-Key   `) — Header authentication of the form `Api-Key  <token>`
- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.
