# Credits and quotas

Generation operations consume **credits**. Check the balance before running a batch:

The response contains one record per metered feature. Credits are the record with feature
code `COIN`:

Remaining credits are `limit - used`.

When a workspace is out of credits, metered endpoints return `429`. Read operations —
listing posts, boards, assets — are not metered.
