# Media · Image · Scribble to image (ControlNet)

POST https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/tools/sd-scrible
Content-Type: application/json

Turn a rough sketch/scribble into a finished image via Stable Diffusion
ControlNet, steered by `prompt` (and `negative_prompt`). Pass the scribble
as `image_url` or base64 `image`. Generates a NEW image from line art; to
edit an existing photo use `magicInpaint` / `generativeFill`. Async —
returns a task_id (auto-polled).

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (required) (prefixed with ` Api-Key   `) — Header authentication of the form `Api-Key  <token>`
- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

This endpoint expects an object.

- `prompt` (string, required) — Text description of the desired output image.
- `negative_prompt` (string, required) — What to avoid in the generated image.
- `image_url` (string, optional) — URL of the scribble/sketch input image.
- `image` (string, optional) — Base64-encoded scribble image (alternative to image_url).
- `image_resolution` (integer, optional) — Output resolution in pixels.
- `steps` (integer, optional) — Diffusion steps (higher = better quality, slower).
- `guidance_scale` (double, optional) — How closely to follow the prompt.
- `counts` (integer, optional, default: 4) — Number of variations to generate.

- `task_id` (string, optional) — Poll GET /api/v1/tasks/\{task\_id} until SUCCESS or FAILURE.
