# Media · Image · Upscale image resolution

POST https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/tools/upscale-image
Content-Type: application/json

Increases image resolution using AI. Returns a task_id — poll for result.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (required) (prefixed with ` Api-Key   `) — Header authentication of the form `Api-Key  <token>`
- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

## Request

### Body (application/json)

This endpoint expects an object.

- `image_url` (string, required) — URL of the source image.
- `scale` (enum, optional, default: 2) — Upscale factor. Default 2×.
  - Allowed values: `2`, `4`, `8`

## Response

### 202

Async task queued.

- `task_id` (string, optional) — Poll GET /api/v1/tasks/\{task\_id} until SUCCESS or FAILURE.
