# Knowledge · Remove a source from a knowledge base

DELETE https://kd-agents.simplified.com/api/v1/knowledge-bases/{knowledge_base_id}/sources/{source_id}

Removes the source and the indexed passages behind it. Not recoverable; the knowledge base stops returning its material.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (required) (prefixed with ` Api-Key   `) — Header authentication of the form `Api-Key  <token>`
- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

## Request

### Path parameters

- `knowledge_base_id` (string, required) — Knowledge base UUID.
- `source_id` (string, required) — Source UUID.

## Response

### 204

Removed.

### 404 Not Found Error

No such source in this knowledge base.
