Publishing actions ('schedule', 'add\_to\_queue') require at least one account in account\_ids; 'draft' can be saved without any account. Optionally attach auto-comments via `comments`: a list of `{ "message": string, "delay": seconds }` objects published after the post goes live, in array order. For a LinkedIn document (carousel) post, pass the PDF as `additional.linkedin.document` (see `LinkedinDocument`) with `media: []`. Reference: https://docs.simplified.com/api-reference/social-media/posts/create-social-media-post ## Authentication - `Authorization` header (required) (prefixed with ` Api-Key `) — Header authentication of the form `Api-Key ` - `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer `, where token is your auth token. ## Request ### Body (application/json) This endpoint expects a CreatePostRequest. - `message` (string, required) - `action` (enum, required) - Allowed values: `schedule`, `add_to_queue`, `draft` - `account_ids` (list of string, optional) — Target social media account IDs. Required for action 'schedule' and 'add_to_queue'. For action 'draft' this may be empty or omitted to create an accountless draft (saved without a connected account). - `date` (string, optional) — Scheduled datetime in format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM - `media` (list of MediaItem, optional) — Media items attached to the post. Each entry is a Simplified asset UUID, a fully qualified URL, or a `{ url, thumbUrl }` object for video with an explicit poster/thumbnail — see `MediaItem`. Asset UUIDs are resolved server-side to a fresh permanent URL before publishing; pass them whenever the media was produced via `generateImage` with `storage: "asset"`. URLs are passed through as-is and should only be used for media that already lives at a permanent public location. - `tags` (list of integer, optional) — Tag (label) IDs to attach to the created post(s). Get IDs via `listSocialMediaTags`; create new ones via `createSocialMediaTag`. Tags are used by the user to filter posts in the Drafts/Publishing views and to deep-link the confirmation widget. - `comments` (list of CreatePostRequestCommentsItems, optional) — Optional auto-comments published to the post after it goes live, in array order. Omit or pass an empty array for no comments. Each entry exposes only `message` + `delay` (no media). `delay` is cast to an integer server-side; a comment with no `message` defaults to "". - `additional` (AdditionalSettings, optional) ## Response ### 200 Post created successfully - `any` ## Types ### MediaItem A single media attachment. One of three forms: * a Simplified asset UUID (resolved server-side to a fresh permanent URL at publish time — use for media produced via `generateImage` with `storage: "asset"`); * a fully qualified media URL, used as-is (media must already live at a permanent public location); * an object with an explicit poster/thumbnail, e.g. `{"url": "https://example.com/v.mp4", "thumbUrl": "https://example.com/poster.jpg"}` — use for video when you want to control the preview frame. ### CreatePostRequestCommentsItems - `message` (string, optional, default: ) — The comment text. - `delay` (integer, optional, default: 0) — Seconds to wait after the post is published before posting this comment. ### AdditionalSettings - `facebook` (AdditionalSettingsFacebook, optional) - `instagram` (AdditionalSettingsInstagram, optional) - `tiktok` (AdditionalSettingsTiktok, optional) - `tiktokBusiness` (AdditionalSettingsTiktokBusiness, optional) - `youtube` (AdditionalSettingsYoutube, optional) - `linkedin` (AdditionalSettingsLinkedin, optional) - `pinterest` (AdditionalSettingsPinterest, optional) - `threads` (AdditionalSettingsThreads, optional) - `google` (AdditionalSettingsGoogle, optional) - `bluesky` (AdditionalSettingsBluesky, optional) ### MediaItem2 - `url` (string, required) — Direct media URL (e.g. an .mp4 video) — used as-is. - `thumbUrl` (string, optional) — Optional poster/thumbnail image URL shown as the media preview (e.g. the video cover frame). ### AdditionalSettingsFacebook - `postType` (FacebookPostType, optional) ### AdditionalSettingsInstagram - `postType` (InstagramPostType, optional) - `channel` (InstagramChannel, optional) - `postReel` (InstagramPostReel, optional) ### AdditionalSettingsTiktok - `postType` (TiktokPostType, optional) - `post` (TiktokPost, optional) - `channel` (TiktokChannel, optional) - `postPhoto` (TiktokPostPhoto, optional) ### AdditionalSettingsTiktokBusiness - `postType` (TiktokPostType, optional) - `post` (TiktokBusinessPost, optional) - `postPhoto` (TiktokPostPhoto, optional) ### AdditionalSettingsYoutube - `postType` (YoutubePostType, optional) - `post` (YoutubePost, optional) ### AdditionalSettingsLinkedin - `audience` (LinkedinAudience, optional) - `document` (LinkedinDocument, optional) — LinkedIn document post — LinkedIn's carousel format: one PDF whose pages are the slides. `url` is a fully qualified PDF URL; a freshly signed Simplified asset URL (the `file_url` from `getAsset` once a PDF asset created with `asset_type: 17` reaches status 4) is the usual source. Asset UUIDs are not resolved here — unlike `media`, this field is passed to the social service as-is. Send `media: []` with a document — LinkedIn renders the PDF, not photos.
