Reference: https://docs.simplified.com/api-reference/social-media/posts/update-social-media-post ## Authentication - `Authorization` header (required) (prefixed with ` Api-Key `) — Header authentication of the form `Api-Key ` - `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer `, where token is your auth token. ## Request ### Body (application/json) This endpoint expects an UpdatePostRequest. - `post_id` (string, required) — ID of the published post to update - `message` (string, optional) — New post message content - `date` (string, optional) — New scheduled date (e.g. 2026-04-15) - `time` (string, optional) — New scheduled time (e.g. 14:30) - `timezone` (string, optional) — Timezone for the scheduled date/time (e.g. Europe/Warsaw) - `media` (list of MediaItem, optional) — Updated media for the post. Each entry is a Simplified asset UUID, a fully qualified URL, or a `{ url, thumbUrl }` object — see `MediaItem` and `CreatePostRequest.media` for resolution rules. - `tags` (list of integer, optional) — Replace the post's tag (label) IDs with this list. Use `listSocialMediaTags` to fetch existing IDs and `createSocialMediaTag` to add new ones. ## Response ### 200 Post updated successfully - `any` ## Types ### MediaItem A single media attachment. One of three forms: * a Simplified asset UUID (resolved server-side to a fresh permanent URL at publish time — use for media produced via `generateImage` with `storage: "asset"`); * a fully qualified media URL, used as-is (media must already live at a permanent public location); * an object with an explicit poster/thumbnail, e.g. `{"url": "https://example.com/v.mp4", "thumbUrl": "https://example.com/poster.jpg"}` — use for video when you want to control the preview frame. ### MediaItem2 - `url` (string, required) — Direct media URL (e.g. an .mp4 video) — used as-is. - `thumbUrl` (string, optional) — Optional poster/thumbnail image URL shown as the media preview (e.g. the video cover frame). ## Examples **Request** ```json { "post_id": "string" } ``` **SDK Code** ```python import requests url = "https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/service/social-media/update-post" payload = { "post_id": "string" } headers = { "Authorization": "Api-Key ", "Content-Type": "application/json" } response = requests.put(url, json=payload, headers=headers) print(response.json()) ``` ```javascript const url = 'https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/service/social-media/update-post'; const options = { method: 'PUT', headers: {Authorization: 'Api-Key ', 'Content-Type': 'application/json'}, body: '{"post_id":"string"}' }; try { const response = await fetch(url, options); const data = await response.json(); console.log(data); } catch (error) { console.error(error); } ``` ```go package main import ( "fmt" "strings" "net/http" "io" ) func main() { url := "https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/service/social-media/update-post" payload := strings.NewReader("{\n \"post_id\": \"string\"\n}") req, _ := http.NewRequest("PUT", url, payload) req.Header.Add("Authorization", "Api-Key ") req.Header.Add("Content-Type", "application/json") res, _ := http.DefaultClient.Do(req) defer res.Body.Close() body, _ := io.ReadAll(res.Body) fmt.Println(res) fmt.Println(string(body)) } ``` ```ruby require 'uri' require 'net/http' url = URI("https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/service/social-media/update-post") http = Net::HTTP.new(url.host, url.port) http.use_ssl = true request = Net::HTTP::Put.new(url) request["Authorization"] = 'Api-Key ' request["Content-Type"] = 'application/json' request.body = "{\n \"post_id\": \"string\"\n}" response = http.request(request) puts response.read_body ``` ```java import com.mashape.unirest.http.HttpResponse; import com.mashape.unirest.http.Unirest; HttpResponse response = Unirest.put("https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/service/social-media/update-post") .header("Authorization", "Api-Key ") .header("Content-Type", "application/json") .body("{\n \"post_id\": \"string\"\n}") .asString(); ``` ```php request('PUT', 'https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/service/social-media/update-post', [ 'body' => '{ "post_id": "string" }', 'headers' => [ 'Authorization' => 'Api-Key ', 'Content-Type' => 'application/json', ], ]); echo $response->getBody(); ``` ```csharp using RestSharp; var client = new RestClient("https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/service/social-media/update-post"); var request = new RestRequest(Method.PUT); request.AddHeader("Authorization", "Api-Key "); request.AddHeader("Content-Type", "application/json"); request.AddParameter("application/json", "{\n \"post_id\": \"string\"\n}", ParameterType.RequestBody); IRestResponse response = client.Execute(request); ``` ```swift import Foundation let headers = [ "Authorization": "Api-Key ", "Content-Type": "application/json" ] let parameters = ["post_id": "string"] as [String : Any] let postData = JSONSerialization.data(withJSONObject: parameters, options: []) let request = NSMutableURLRequest(url: NSURL(string: "https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/service/social-media/update-post")! as URL, cachePolicy: .useProtocolCachePolicy, timeoutInterval: 10.0) request.httpMethod = "PUT" request.allHTTPHeaderFields = headers request.httpBody = postData as Data let session = URLSession.shared let dataTask = session.dataTask(with: request as URLRequest, completionHandler: { (data, response, error) -> Void in if (error != nil) { print(error as Any) } else { let httpResponse = response as?
