Tag names are NOT enforced unique by the backend — call `listSocialMediaTags` first and reuse an existing tag if a tag with the same name already exists, to avoid creating duplicates. Reference: https://docs.simplified.com/api-reference/social-media/tags/create-social-media-tag ## Authentication - `Authorization` header (required) (prefixed with ` Api-Key `) — Header authentication of the form `Api-Key ` - `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer `, where token is your auth token. ## Request ### Body (application/json) This endpoint expects a CreateTagRequest. - `name` (string, required) — Display name for the new tag. Should be human-readable. - `product` (enum, required, default: social_media) — Always `social_media` for this MCP. - Allowed values: `social_media` - `color` (string, optional) — Optional hex color for the UI badge (e.g. "#3F51B5"). Backend assigns a default if omitted. ## Response ### 200 Tag created - `id` (integer, required) — Numeric tag ID. Use this when assigning tags to posts/drafts. - `name` (string, required) — Display name of the tag (e.g. "Q2 launch"). - `color` (string, optional) — Hex color used in the UI badge (e.g. "#FF5722"). May be empty. - `product` (enum, optional) — Product the tag belongs to.
