This setup is separate from ordinary Claude web and desktop chats. For those, use the [Claude chat guide](/setup/claude). Check whether the Simplified plugin and tools are already available. Reuse a working installation. The standalone skills installer requires Node.js and npm. ## 1. Install the plugin In Claude Code, run these slash commands: ```text /plugin marketplace add celeryhq/simplified-ai /plugin install simplified-ai@simplified-ai ``` These are commands inside Claude Code, not shell commands. The Simplified plugin provides its connector and skills. Use the plugin manager to inspect installation and scope. See [Claude Code's plugin guide](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/discover-plugins) for version-specific controls. ## 2. Authenticate Open `/mcp`, select the Simplified connection, and complete its sign-in flow. Return to Claude Code and enable the connection for your session when needed. ## Alternative: connect without the plugin Use this route only when you want a standalone MCP entry or cannot use plugins. Inspect existing entries first: ```bash claude mcp list ``` For your user across projects: ```bash claude mcp add --scope user --transport http simplified https://apikit.simplified.com/mcp ``` For a shared project configuration, use `--scope project` instead. Review project configuration before committing it and keep secrets out of repository files. Complete authentication through `/mcp`. If you also want skills, install them separately: ```bash npx skills add celeryhq/simplified-ai --skill '*' --agent claude-code --global ``` Omit `--global` for project-local skills. Do not add the standalone connection alongside a working plugin-managed one. See the [official MCP guide](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/mcp) for configuration scopes. ## Verify the connection Start a new conversation if the client has not loaded the new tools. Ask: > Use Simplified to identify my connected workspace and list its teamspaces. Do not create or change anything. The assistant should call `api_getWorkspaceInfo` and `api_listTeamspaces`, then report the workspace and available teamspaces. Choose the intended teamspace before starting work. A saved server entry or a successful skills installation alone does not verify tool access. Next, follow the [MCP quickstart](/mcp/quickstart) to prepare a social draft. For a read-only first task, ask the assistant to list your brand kits. Social accounts are only needed for social tasks; an empty account list does not mean the connection failed. ## Troubleshooting and updates * **The slash command is unrecognized:** check the installed Claude Code version and plugin support; use the standalone MCP route when appropriate. * **Duplicate Simplified connections appear:** inspect their scopes and keep the intended one. Do not remove unrelated plugins or credential files. * **Authentication keeps failing:** inspect the affected connection and follow [authentication troubleshooting](/mcp/troubleshooting). An API key can be used where your client supports secure header configuration. * **New skills are missing:** reload the plugin or start a new session. Verify skill discovery separately from MCP authentication. Manage plugin updates through Claude Code's plugin manager. Keep the installation route consistent rather than layering manual files over plugin-managed files. ## Let Claude Code follow this guide ```text Read https://docs.simplified.com/setup/claude-code.md and set up Simplified for this Claude Code client. Reuse existing tools and skills, then verify my workspace. ``` > Install the plugin or connect MCP directly in your coding environment.
