# Instinct

This guide is for the personal assistant at [instinct.com](https://instinct.com/). Instinct's public site describes a text and phone assistant. It does not document a self-service custom MCP connection, so direct Simplified setup is not yet verified.

## Check connection availability

Inspect the connections available in your Instinct account. If Simplified is listed, use Instinct's own sign-in flow. If Instinct offers a custom remote MCP connection, enter:

Use the authentication method Instinct documents for that control. Do not send an API key in a text message or chat. If neither Simplified nor custom MCP appears, ask Instinct support whether your account can connect to a remote HTTP MCP server with OAuth. Do not treat browser access to Simplified as a verified MCP connection.

## Verify access

Once a connection is available, ask Instinct:

> Use Simplified to identify my workspace and list my teamspaces. Do not create or change anything.

Confirm that Instinct used Simplified tools and returned the expected workspace. Until then, use a client with a verified connection path, such as [Codex](/setup/codex) or [Claude Code](/setup/claude-code), or use [Simplified directly](https://app.simplified.com/).
