Quickstart

Create and verify your first social draft in five steps.
View as Markdown

This walkthrough creates a draft you can inspect in Simplified. It does not queue or schedule the post. Before you begin, install the CLI and sign in and connect a social account in your Simplified workspace.

1. Confirm where you are working

simplified auth:whoami
simplified teamspace:current

Check the workspace and teamspace before creating content. To use the default workspace context, run simplified teamspace:use default.

2. Find a connected account

simplified accounts:list --network linkedin

Choose the intended account by name and copy its id. Replace ACCOUNT_ID below with that value. Use simplified accounts:list to see all connected platforms.

3. Create a draft

simplified posts:create \
--content "A first look at what we are building. More details soon." \
--accounts "ACCOUNT_ID" \
--action draft

The response contains the created post data. Keep its identifiers if you want to edit it from a script. The social publishing guide explains drafts, scheduled posts, and groups.

4. Find and revise the draft

simplified posts:list-drafts --accounts "ACCOUNT_ID"

Copy the draft ID from the result, then update its caption:

simplified posts:update-draft \
--draft-id "DRAFT_ID" \
--content "Meet our next release. Here is a first look at what is coming."

Run posts:list-drafts again, or open the draft in Simplified, to check the change.

5. Add a visual or send it for review

To attach your own image, upload it, wait for processing, and copy its file_url:

simplified posts:update-draft \
--draft-id "DRAFT_ID" \
--media "IMAGE_URL"

For feedback, create a review bundle. When the content is ready, use the scheduling workflow or finish publishing in Simplified.
