Profiles and tool inventory

Discover what your current connection can do.

The tools exposed to an assistant depend on the connector, deployment, and tool selection in your client. A fixed tool count is not a reliable setup check.

Inspect your connection

Ask:

List the Simplified tools available in this session. Group them by social publishing, analytics, brand, media, projects, workflows, and agents. Tell me which groups are unavailable.

Use your client’s MCP tool list to verify the response. Tools may have a client-added prefix or different casing; the guides use canonical names such as api_getWorkspaceInfo.

Tool families

PrefixPurpose
api_Workspace identity, brand context, generation, assets, and creative projects
social_Connected accounts, posts, drafts, reviews, and analytics
media_Image/video processing and transcription
pm_Boards, statuses, tasks, assignees, and dependencies
notify_Agent notifications
flows_Workflow definitions, publishing, executions, and run control
agents_Agents, skills, toolkits, triggers, and knowledge bases

The standard connected catalog includes the core social, media, project, and brand tools. Workflow and agent administration may require a separately enabled connection. Individual operations can also vary; for example, check for media_imagesToPdf before planning PDF assembly inside MCP.

When a tool is missing

  1. Confirm Simplified is connected and enabled in this conversation.
  2. Refresh or reconnect the server after a connector update.
  3. Check whether your client has disabled individual tools.
  4. Ask your workspace administrator whether the required tool family is available on your connection.

Installing a skill does not add a missing server tool. Do not guess an alternate server URL or substitute a similarly named operation with different behavior.

Use the reference

The tool reference lists the repository’s API-backed definitions, including extended families. It is a capability map, not a guarantee that every entry is exposed by your current server. Read the current tool’s input schema for required arguments, supported values, and permissions.
