Your first MCP workflow

Prepare a social draft in the right workspace.
View as Markdown

This walkthrough produces a draft you can review. You need a working connection and a social account already connected to Simplified.

1. Identify your workspace

Ask:

Show my Simplified workspace and available teamspaces. I want to work in Marketing.

The assistant uses api_getWorkspaceInfo and api_listTeamspaces, resolves Marketing to its numeric ID, and carries that space_id through the remaining calls. If more than one destination matches, choose the intended one.

2. Choose an account and brand

List connected social accounts and available brand kits in Marketing. Use our company LinkedIn account and the Acme brand kit.

The assistant calls social_getSocialMediaAccounts and api_listBrandKits, then reads the chosen kit with api_getBrandKit. It should use returned account IDs rather than infer an ID from a display name.

3. Prepare the content

Write a LinkedIn draft announcing our new product dashboard. Focus on helping small teams understand campaign results. Use our brand voice, keep it under 120 words, and use no image for this first draft.

Review the proposed wording. For an illustrated version, follow AI generation and Assets and uploads before attaching media.

4. Save a draft

Save this as a draft for the selected LinkedIn account. Do not schedule or publish it.

The assistant uses social_createSocialMediaPost with the draft settings defined by its tool schema. It should report the returned draft identifier and account, then read the draft back with social_getSocialMediaDrafts.

5. Continue when ready

Ask for revisions, create a review bundle, or provide an exact publication date, time, and timezone. Scheduling and publishing are separate outcomes from saving a draft; make your intended outcome explicit.

If a tool fails, keep the returned error and any resource ID. Use Troubleshooting before repeating a create request.
